Vinyasa Yoga

Hello! I’m Nichole Lair but friends call me Nick. I am a yoga teacher, face/body paint artist, all things yarn creator, DIY home remodeler and GIS technician. A “Jill of all trades” I suppose, but my real passion is yoga. I love teaching Vinyasa style classes of all levels that include creative sequencing, a lighthearted vibe, is alignment focused and offers a safe space for you as an individual to explore and grow. I enjoy working with all body types including anyone that suffers from injury or chronic pain. I encourage my students to “check in” with themselves and honor whatever it is their bodies need in that moment. Perhaps helping them find new levels of possibility, mentally and physically. Our bodies can be powerful teachers!

I started practicing yoga at home in 2013, mostly for the physical benefits. Being the painfully shy person that I was, several years passed before I ever attended an actual studio class with other humans. As my asana practice developed and became stronger, so did my mind/body connection, as well as my confidence. I often found myself wanting to learn more but was still too intimidated to sign up for a yoga teacher training program. That all changed in 2019. An autoimmune disease, Ankylosing Spondylitis, had plagued my mother for years and had really started to limit her mobility. I was convinced that a consistent yoga practice would benefit her a great deal, both physically and mentally. However, I knew the only way I would get her to practice yoga was if I were teaching it. That was it. I jumped in with both feet, and if it so happened that I could also serve others by offering the gift of yoga…. Well that would just be gravy. I signed up and graduated from Brett Larkin Uplifted Yoga Teacher Training. I absolutely loved it, and plan to take her 300 hour course next year.

People often describe me as goofy, and a free spirit. You never know what I might bring to the table next. If I’m not practicing or teaching yoga, you’ll likely find me hiking, balancing on rocks or furniture, dancing in the rain, painting myself up as various characters, spending time with my beautiful wife and furry kids, demolishing a room in our house, or whatever else may have struck my fancy in that moment. Always striving to live fully in each moment.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to be a part of your yoga journey and I look forward to stepping on our mats together!

Love, light, and big hugs,

Namaste.
